Intersection of climate change and human health: PCC Winter Seminar Series videos now posted

A collection of recordings from the Winter 2021 PCC 586 Seminar Series is now available on our website, and Youtube (attached below).

The UW Program on Climate Change (PCC) and Center for Health and the Global Environment (CHanGE) organized a seminar series in Winter 2021 that focused on the intersection of climate change and human health. The goal for this series was to bring together researchers in the two communities to discuss how climate change has and will impact human health. Conversations  included methods for projecting future climate and relevant exposures and impacts, including broader considerations related to determinants of health and wellbeing, and implications for climate change communication and management. Each week consisted of two 30 min talks, one focusing on fundamental climate change (PCC) and the other focused on health impacts (CHanGE).  Talks were followed by Q&A session with speakers and attendees.

Learn more about the seminar series here, and keep a look out for our next seminar series Fall 2021, where we’ll discuss the soon to be released IPCC AR6 WGI during the course of the quarter.
