I am a prof emeritus in the med school. My UW PhD was in Physiology & Biophysics 1966. Neurophysiology and evolutionary biology got me into The Big Brain Problem: bigger evolved only after the ice age provided back and forth climate shifts. So by 1979 I joined the QRC brown bag lunch crowd. Then Steve Porter’s spring quarter course gave me a steady diet of visiting climate scientists. Then came Summer Institutes. Many thanks.
