Sydney completed her masters in University of Washington’s School of Environmental and Forest Sciences. Her interests include adaptive and collaborative natural resource management in the context of climate change and increasing natural hazards. Her past work includes conservation and restoration initiatives along the Colorado River, as well as in economic impact analysis and marketing effectiveness research. Her masters research was conducted in collaboration with The Nature Conservancy’s Salmon, Forest, and Fire Project. Using a mixed-methods approach that integrated qualitative and quantitative analyses, she investigated pathways to integrated wildfire planning in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. In her free time, Sydney loves exploring the mountains through mountain biking, bike packing, and ski touring.
