Isaac is a graduate student in the School of Marine and Environmental Affiars, focusing on environmental communication on threats to coastal communities, including ocean acidification, harmful algal blooms, and hypoxia. He is a student assistant for Washington Sea Grant, focusing on communicating info on the changing ocean to impacted communities, and is a member of the PCC Graduate Steering Committee (P-GraSC).
Isaac got his undergraduate degree at the UW in Oceanography and Environmental Studies, and served as the Undergraduate Assistant for the Program on Climate Change from December 2020 to June 2024. Recently, he was a Hollings Scholar with the NOAA Ocean Acidification Program focusing on place-based OA communication and a former Oregon Sea Grant Summer Scholar helping develop data accessibility and sovereignty initiatives with the Oregon Coastal and Ocean Acidification Network.
