I am an oceanographer and biogeochemist who also thinks about climate adaptation, mitigation, and engineering. I’ve been working with a team to assess the feasibility of artificially thickening Arctic sea ice and the potential ecological impacts of that activiity. I also study the sources, fate, and transport of organic matter in the ocean.
