Gregory Johnson is a large-scale observational physical oceanographer. He is an affiliate professor in the School of Oceanography at the University of Washington and serves on the PCC board. He studies distributions of ocean temperature, salinity, currents, sea level, other water properties, their variability, and the ocean’s roles in climate.
