I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Cooperative Institute for Climate, Ocean, & Ecosystem Studies. I received my Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington. My research explores the physics and dynamics of Earth’s climate and its response to climate change, with a focus on interactions among the atmosphere, ocean, cryosphere, and land across timescales from seasons to millennia. To investigate these processes, I use comprehensive Earth system models, targeted experiments with climate models of varying complexity, and mathematical conceptual models that provide simplified representations of underlying physical processes.
