I did my bachelor’s in Civil Engineering at Stanford. I took a few years off school to work in the construction industry in San Francisco, but went back to pursue my MS in Structural Engineering at UW to work on how our built environment interacts with the natural world. My master’s thesis focused on tsunami-driven debris fields and how they impact coastal structures – I finishing that at the end of winter quarter 2022 and am now working toward my PhD within the environmental fluid mechanics realm.
When not a “grad student”, I’m a seeker of fun experiences outside like hiking, skiing, camping, paddling, etc. I recently acquired a canoe and can’t wait to get even more absorbed into this incredible place!
I acknowledge that we live and work on the ancestral, unceded homelands of the Coast Salish people, particularly the Duwamish, who have been the stewards of sustainability and reciprocal, respectful interactions with this land for time immemorial.
