I’m a PhD candidate at the University of Washington in the Information School focusing on human-computer interaction. I study how technologies built for social change and planetary health are used, challenged, and reshaped by marginalized communities and advocates for more just futures. My doctoral research uses qualitative and design research methods with frontline communities and climate movement members to explore how climate justice can reshape technology design. I’m also a research affiliate with the Data + Feminism Lab at MIT and Graduate Fellow at the Center for Environmental Politics at UW. I’m supported by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and University of Washington Graduate School’s Office of Graduate Student Equity & Excellence. I am a part of Program on Climate Change Graduate Steering Committee and pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Climate Science. Previously, I got my undergraduate degree at MIT in Urban Planning with Computer Science and American Studies. I’ve also interned at Lawrence Livermore National Lab, Google, among other places.
