I am a PhD student at the School of Oceanography working with Dr. Eric D’Asaro at APL. My research focuses on multiscale ocean dynamics in the California Current System, including internal tides, mesoscale and submesoscale variability, and air sea interaction. I use observations from gliders, moorings, satellites, and autonomous platforms together with numerical models and data analysis methods to study spatial and temporal variability in the ocean, and to understand how ocean processes interact across scales to influence circulation, mixing, energy transfer, and climate related variability.

I am affiliated with the Program on Climate Change through my interest in ocean climate dynamics and Earth system science. My work aims to improve understanding of how physical ocean processes across a wide range of spatial and temporal scales affect climate variability, marine ecosystems, and the transport of heat and energy in the ocean.
