I am a PhD student in the Marine Geology and Geophysics option within the School of Oceanography, advised by Dr. Evan Solomon. I am interested in geochemistry, silicate weathering and the carbon cycle, and elemental fluxes in marine sediments. At UW, I am studying mineral carbonation of subseafloor basalts in the Cascadia Basin as a method of marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR). I am currently a member of P-GrasC and aim to explore best practices for communicating climate change mitigation strategies to the public.
