Italicized/”Y” courses can be applied to the minor, but currently need an exception in DARS. New courses will be considered upon request.

Course overlap with degree requirements

 

The courses listed below fulfill requirements in both the Climate Science Minor and a given Major. The Climate Science Minor requires a minimum of 25 credits total, with at least 18 credits outside the student’s major (7 cr overlap). If you apply additional courses to the minor then the overlap can be greater. Work with advisers.

*Atmospheric Science is not listed as they offer a climate option. If your are interest in pursuing the climate minor in addition to an ATM S major, contact advisors to make a plan best for you.

Students from all across the University have expressed interest in completing the Climate Science Minor. However, not all majors have easily discernable overlap with the Minor’s requirements. To make it easier for prospective students, below are sample pathways through the Climate Science Minor tailored to specific majors whose path is immediately obvious.

Bolded courses count towards specific requirements for both the listed major and the Climate Science Minor. Additionally, Climate Science Minor courses can be used to reach graduation credit minimums.
