Course Description

Covers the design process in ecosystem restoration by presenting a series of weekly design problems that students solve as teams, based on a variety of ecosystems  and communities within the City of Seattle. Categorizes problems by disturbance type, including restoration necessitated by equity and environmental justice, urban agriculture, damage to traditional food systems, urban forestry, climate mitigation, climate adaptation, SuperFund Sites, salt-marsh filling or diking, transportation projects, etc. Includes a team design portfolio.
